MHA Congratulates Dr. Kimberly Binaso
November 14, 2006 (Florham Park, NJ): Managed Health Care Associates (MHA), the nation’s largest Alternate Site GPO, wishes to congratulate Dr. Kimberly Binaso, PharmD, CCP, CGP, FASCP, for her role as an expert panel member in authoring “Recommendations for Best Practices in the Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease in Managed Care” published in The American Journal of Geriatric Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Binaso, Director of Clinical Services for MHA, played an intricate part in a panel comprised of leading clinical and academic researchers, practitioners in the fields of geriatrics, neurology and psychiatry, as well as managed care directors from medical, pharmacy, health systems, and health policy experts.
“These recommendations offer best practices that enhance continuity of care to patients with Alzheimer’s disease. As a clinical pharmacist, participating in this project as an expert panel member was truly a rewarding experience”, said Dr. Binaso.
Dr. Binaso has specialized in geriatric pharmacotherapy for over eight years. In addition to her role at MHA, she continues to be actively engaged with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, and academia. Dr. Binaso is a nationally recognized educator and often lectures on disease states that significantly impact the geriatric population.
