MHA AND EMERLYN SOFTWARE ANNOUNCE JOINT MARKETING AND LICENSING AGREEMENT FOR EMERLYN’S SURECOST® SOFTWARE
July 10, 2006 (Florham Park, NJ): Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), the nation’s largest Alternate Site GPO, and Emerlyn have entered into a joint marketing and licensing agreement for Emerlyn’s SureCost®, pharmaceutical purchasing application. The agreement, which calls for MHA to hold an exclusive license to market SureCost® within the LTC pharmacy market, will integrate SureCost® into MHA’s comprehensive service portfolio and leverage MHA’s national sales team to introduce SureCost® to the Long Term Care Pharmacy market.
SureCost®, a patent-pending pharmacy based e-procurement software program, provides pharmacies with a concise, “one stop” application for drug purchasing. The system enables pharmacies to manage the complex drug purchasing marketplace in real time by factoring critical parameters such as volume usage, rebates, contract pricing, market share, and Medicaid coverage into the purchase equation. SureCost® will enable MHA members to better manage day-to-day ordering, contract and product compliance and the full range of vendor contracts associated with the drugs they purchase.
