MHA established this network as a strategic resource to our existing members, and we have been very encouraged by the significant interest within the Independent LTC Pharmacy provider community. We have added an additional 130,000 beds in just one week bringing our total to over 430,000 beds. Since our last release a number of entities have entered the market touting various networks and associations. MHA is the largest Independent LTC Pharmacy Network in the country today with 232 formally executed LTC Pharmacy Network agreements and the designation to exclusively negotiate on behalf of our 430,000 network member beds. We have been planning this for over a year and always felt this model would have broad based appeal and our strategy is working. MHA’s ability to work with the Independent LTC Pharmacy providers and create this industry leading model is another example of providing innovative strategic solutions to our business partners.” MHA Independent LTC Pharmacy Network is a wholly owned subsidiary of Managed Health Care Associates, Inc., the largest Alternate Site focused Group Purchasing Organization operating in the marketplace today. The Network will represent Independent LTC Pharmacy providers as reimbursement rates are established between Network members and PDPs/MA-PDPs under the new Medicare Part D benefit plan beginning January 1, 2006. MHA created the Network in an effort to develop a reimbursement model that is reflective of the unique clinical and delivery services provided by Independent LTC Pharmacies to their respective homes and patients. MHA is a committed advocate of all Independent LTC Pharmacy providers and looks forward to the continued growth of the Network. For More Information Contact:
