What programs do you offer?

MHA’s portfolio of contracts covers Pharmaceutical, Medical/Surgical, Laboratory, Capital Equipment, Food and Nutrition, as well as, network access to the majority of the largest national and regional prescription drug plans managing the newly created Medicare Part D drug benefit.

Who is eligible?

Closed shop Long-Term Care providers, Hospitals, Home Health Care/Home Infusion providers, HMOs, Physicians, Clinics, Ambulatory Care Centers, Mail Order, Retail facilities, State facilities and Specialty pharmacies.

What are the membership criteria?

Long-term care providers 

  • You must be a closed shop pharmacy
  • You must provide a DEA certificate and a pharmacy license
  • If you operate a retail location as well as a closed shop you must maintain a separate inventory and record keeping system as well as separate DEA and pharmacy licenses.  There must be a separate entrance and exit for your retail and closed shop operations.

Hospitals:

  • Any licensed hospital in the United States and Puerto Rico

  • You must be a closed shop pharmacy
  • You must provide a DEA certificate and a pharmacy license
  • If you operate a retail location as well as a closed shop you must maintain a separate inventory and record keeping system as well as separate DEA and pharmacy licenses.  There must be a separate entrance and exit for your retail and closed shop operations.

 

Home Health Care/Home Infusion:

  • Pharmacies supplying services to home health care and home infusion facilities

  • You must be a closed shop pharmacy
  • You must provide a DEA/HIN certificate and a pharmacy license
  • If you operate a retail location as well as a closed shop you must maintain a separate inventory and record keeping system as well as separate DEA and pharmacy licenses.  There must be a separate entrance and exit for your retail and closed shop operations.

When will I become eligible?

As soon as we process your application, you will be announced in our membership update. Thirty days later you become eligible.  For example, if you appear in the March 15th update, you become eligible for contract pricing on April 15th.  We need this time to communicate with our supply partners and your wholesaler/distributor to ensure correct loading to MHA contracts.
