Managed Healthcare Associates, Inc. (MHA) Pharmaceutical Data Services collects discrete Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant, patient-level dispensing data from our members in specific classes of trade, and only on a voluntary basis. The data collection and management assists our members in both understanding their purchasing performance, as well as combining purchasing and dispensing data to provide extended insights and analyses for improved cost management. 

This data enables long-term care pharmacies to do the following: 

• Review gross margin at the level of an individual drug. 
• Use data to help establish internal business metrics and benchmarks. 
• Allow members to participate in additional manufacturer contract opportunities. 
• Access to updated prescription drug plan maximum allowable cost (MAC) files.
