Michael J. sicilian

Michael J. Sicilian
President

Michael J. Sicilian serves as President of Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), a leading health care services and technology company and the largest GPO in the US focused on the needs of the alternate site health care provider.

Mr. Sicilian joined MHA in 2005 as Executive Vice President of the Alternate Site Care division and was promoted to the role of President in 2007. In May 2013, Mr. Sicilian led the management process which resulted in the successful sale of privately held MHA to publicly traded Roper Technologies.

During his 30-plus years in the alternate site health care delivery industry, Mr. Sicilian has served in multiple executive leadership roles with nationally recognized alternate site health care providers, including Home Nutritional Services (HNS), a Healthdyne company; National Medical Care Homecare (NMCHC), a W. R. Grace company; Fresenius Medical Care NA (subsidiary of Fresenius AG Homburg, Germany) and Bioscrip. Mr. Sicilian has extensive sales and operations experience in the Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), Mail Order, Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment industries. He also has in-depth experience in managed care contracting, pharmaceutical contracting, pharmacy network management, reimbursement management, and mergers and acquisitions activities.

From June 2001-December 2004, Mr. Sicilian was with the MIM Corporation, a $576 million publicly traded provider of Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty Infusion, Mail Order and PBM services marketed under the name of Bioscrip. Mr. Sicilian served as Bioscrip’s Divisional President for Specialty Infusion and Specialty Injectable business lines and was later promoted to Executive VP for the MIM Corporation, where he had responsibility for all of the company’s business units.

Prior to joining the MIM Corporation, Mr. Sicilian held multiple entrepreneurial and executive leadership roles. He established and led an independent consulting company, JAS Healthcare, Inc.; served as National VP of Field Operations and, later, Executive Vice President for privately held Home Medical of America, a $300 million company; and served as Eastern Region VP and then National VP of Operations for National Medical Care Homecare, Inc., the $200 million homecare division of Fresenius Medical Care, NA.

Mr. Sicilian is a graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, where he serves on the Board of Trustees. He resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife and two daughters.

Teresa DiCaro,RPh

Teresa DiCaro, RPh
Executive Vice President for Long-Term Care

Since 2001, Teresa has served as Executive Vice President for Long-Term Care at MHA and is responsible for leading the long-term care strategic accounts team and supporting key members. Previously, she was vice president of the national account team responsible for supporting long-term care providers. Her responsibilities also included overseeing clinical education programs. Teresa joined MHA in 1992 as a national account manager. Before coming to MHA, Teresa was the director of pharmacy for a home infusion company. Prior to that, she worked extensively in hospital and long-term care pharmacy. She began her career as a staff pharmacist for a long-term care provider. Teresa earned a BS in pharmacy from St. John’s University.

Gloria P.Barr

Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Gloria Barr has served as General Counsel since joining the company in August 2009. In this role she is responsible for all legal matters related to MHA and its businesses. Gloria brings to MHA over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and pharmaceutical services industries. Prior to joining MHA, Gloria was Deputy General Counsel at Catalent Pharma Solutions (formerly a division of Cardinal Health) and held roles of increasing responsibility in the law departments of Cardinal Health and Warner-Lambert Company (now part of Pfizer). Gloria began her career as a Corporate Associate at the firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell. Gloria received a BA from Vassar College and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Craig A. Douglas

Craig A. Douglas
Senior Vice President, MHA Long-Term Care

Craig A. Douglas, as the Senior Vice President of the Long-Term Care Pharmacy division, is directly responsible for MHA's Long-Term Care Pharmacy business unit. These responsibilities include management of the LTC National Account Team and MHA's Managed Care Network, as well as coverage of the business development initiatives. Craig is also the primary contact for many of MHA’s most notable and valued business partners. Prior to joining MHA, Craig gained experience as a Business Development Manager in the alternate care division for AmerisourceBergen, a leading pharmaceutical wholesaler, where he focused on specialty, long-term care, home infusion, and the 340B program. Craig has over 12 years of professional experience in the industry, and has also spent many years working within his family’s retail and long-term care pharmacies. He also spent time working for a pharmacy benefit management company, where he focused on sales and marketing, and after that with a pharmaceutical wholesaler, where he spent years working on new business and account management. Craig earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Pre-Law from Oregon State University.

Clifford A. Farren, Jr.  
Executive Vice President, Finance

Cliff Farren brings extensive experience in pharmaceutical and health care services, software, data and analytics to his role as Executive Vice President, Finance. During his career, Cliff has held a number of senior and C-level financial leadership roles with both private and public companies. Most recently, he served at QuintilesIMS as Vice President of Finance for the United States Business Unit. Prior roles contributing to his in-depth health care services background include Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of TargetRx, a sales and marketing effectiveness company serving the pharmaceutical industry, and Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for SYNAVANT, a public company providing pharmaceutical companies with sales force automation software and marketing support and logistics services. Cliff earned a BBA in Finance from Saint Bonaventure University in Allegany, NY.

Walter Gramley

Walter Gramley 
Senior Vice President, Trade Relations

Walter Gramley brings more than 20 years experience in the health care industry to his role as SVP, Trade Relations. Having joined MHA in 2005, Walt is currently responsible for MHA’s Trade Relations function which includes the development and management of MHA’s portfolio of branded and generic pharmaceuticals, Medical Products and Services, and Business Products and Services. Walt also has responsibility for MHA’s wholesaler and distributor business partnerships in addition to leading MHA’s Clinical Services team and the MHA ACO initiative. Walt’s health care experience includes senior management roles in management consulting, hospital administration, managed care contracting, physician-hospital network development and management, and pharmaceutical purchasing. Early in his career, Walt was management consultant with Deloitte Consulting and an administrator in the Carolinas Healthcare System, one of the largest IDN’s in the United States. Walt received a BA from Davidson College and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina.

Tim Hutchinson

Tim Hutchinson 
President, & CEO, SoftWriters

Tim Hutchison serves as the President and CEO of SoftWriters, an affiliate company of MHA. Tim joined SoftWriters  in 1994, and was responsible for leading the programming team. In this role, Tim designed and developed FrameworkLTC®, the market leading pharmacy management software. In 2009, Tim took over as President and CEO. 

Tim is widely known for his industry expertise and has been a member of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs since 2000. He has also been a member of the American Society for Automation in Pharmacy since 2000 and has served ASAP as a board member and as president of the organization from 2010 - 2012. Tim holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Gannon University.

Ed Izbicki

Ed Izbicki, Jr. 
Senior Vice President, Alternate Site Division

Ed Izbicki, Jr., Senior Vice President, Alternate Site Division, is responsible for MHA’s Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, Retail and Clinic markets as well as MHA’s subsidiaries The MED Group and Atlantic Health Partners. Ed has more than 12 years of health care experience in the GPO and wholesale industry, with a focus on sales leadership, contracting strategies, and blood plasma product growth strategies in the alternate site markets. He joined MHA in 2005 as a Regional Account Representative, moving to sales leadership roles of increasing responsibility. In 2015, Ed was promoted to Vice President, Trade Relations, with responsibility for MHA’s medical products and services portfolio in addition to generic injectables. Ed is based out of MHA's Florham Park, New Jersey office. He received a master’s degree from Montclair State University and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Bryant University. 

Diane Koontz

Executive Vice President, GPO Services

Diane Koontz, as Executive Vice President, GPO Services, is responsible for all GPO business units including Alternate Site, Long-Term Care Pharmacy, MHA’s subsidiary Navigator Group Purchasing, and MHA Operations. Diane is a senior health care executive with over 16 years of experience in the GPO industry representing Acute Care and Alternate Site markets. Diane started her health care career as an Account Executive with MedEcon, one of the largest GPOs specializing in Acute Care and IDNs. In 1997, MHA acquired MedEcon and since that time Diane has held multiple management positions within MHA, involving account management, outside sales and contract negotiations. In 2009, she was promoted to Senior Vice President, Alternate Site Division, with responsibility for all aspects of sales and marketing to our Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, Home Medical, Mail Order, Retail, and Clinic markets as well as management of MHA’s subsidiary The MED Group. Diane is based out of MHA's Richmond, Virginia office. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.

John-Lees

John Lees
Senior Vice President, Operations

John Lees, PhD, as the Senior Vice President of Operations, holds responsibility for MHA’s operational functions, including Membership, Data and Reconciliation, Contract Operations, IT Operations and Software Development. John started his career with Booz Allen Hamilton, the strategy and management consultancy. After leaving Booz Allen, he joined MedAssets, the largest publicly traded acute care GPO in the US. His focus was to establish a center of excellence to implement Lean Six Sigma, and this focus saw John collaborating across all operating units to identify opportunities to better serve the company’s broad GPO membership, and to create large operational efficiencies and revenue gains. Success there saw John become MedAssets President of Revenue Cycle Services. This position provided John with direct member contact and also included responsibility for IT operations and development functions. John received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Virginia and a doctorate in Physics from the University of Georgia.

Lou Livolsi

Lou Livolsi
Executive Vice President, Long-Term Care Facility, Navigator Group Purchasing

Lou Livolsi is a senior executive with over 16 years of sales and general management experience including 13 years in the healthcare services marketplace. Lou joined MHA in 2002 as a Long-Term Care National Account Manager and since that time has made meaningful contributions to MHA’s business while assuming greater management responsibilities within MHA’s Long-Term Care business unit. In his current role as Executive Vice President, Lou leads the management of MHA’s subsidiary, Navigator Group Purchasing overseeing all aspects of sales, marketing, business development and operations as well as extensive member and partner relationships. Prior to this role Lou was Senior Vice President, Long-Term Care Pharmacy and directly responsible for MHA's Long-Term Care business unit which is comprised of MHA’s LTC National Account Team, MHA’s Managed Care Network, MHA’s Reimbursement Services (Net-Rx) and Consulting Software Division (RxPertise). Lou has demonstrated success in leading the delivery of MHA’s business strategy with member focused support and by driving initiatives through strategic partnerships and collaboration with industry stakeholders. Lou earned an MBA from Westminster College as well as a BS in Life Sciences from Rowan University.

John Markes

John Markes
Executive Vice President of Operations, Navigator Group Purchasing

John Markes brings the combined experience of over 20 years in healthcare and 11 years of banking to MHA. In his current role, John oversees operations for MHA subsidiary Navigator Group Purchasing. Prior to joining MHA, John was CFO and co-founder of JR 2 Inc., an IPA management firm where he provided actuarial and financial oversight of risk contracts. Other healthcare employment has included finance and operations positions in a physician management company and an HMO. John holds a BS from the State University of New York at Albany.

Rob Paulsson

Rob Paulsson 
President, Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP)

Rob Paulsson joined SHP, an affiliate company of MHA, in 2015. SHP is the leading provider of data analytics and benchmarking to the post-acute care provider markets. As President, Rob has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and operational execution of SHP. Rob has guided multiple healthcare technology companies to higher performance and greater value creation for customers, employees and shareholders. Prior to SHP, Rob served as CEO of sourcing technology company MedPricer in Guilford, Connecticut and had also served as President of MedAssets Decision Support in El Segundo, California. Rob holds a BS in Accounting from the University of South Florida, a Masters of Accounting from the University of Miami and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Wharton School of Business.
